Episode 3x19 Hoa Pili - my thoughts
Overall not a bad episode.
Lots of the core four which I like to see; reminds me of the happy days of season 1.
The standard shot of Cath in her bikini. Steve has obviously forgiven her. Is she living with him now?
Fortunately no Mrs. McG.
Steve always answers the phone “McGarrett.” You’d think if it was one of his team calling he’d say “yeah Danny?” or “Hey Chin” or something. Who is he talking to?
I’d like to see Chin date that woman eventually but I’m glad they’re not having him do it right away. Malia hasn’t been gone a year but then again he is still a young man. Gotta say though I want Danny to get a girlfriend before Chin.
Isn’t there some kind of weight limit for helicopter pilots?
Some good BAMF for each of the team members. I liked Danny's fight.
The story actually seemed to hold together which was nice. I liked that Danny was intelligent in this one. So often he’s just a clown.
When the killer asked for a lawyer they should not have been questioning him. Any confession he made - and they always confess don’t they? - can’t be admitted into court for that reason.
The thing at the end when they broke into pairs to help some of the victims was nice but cops really can’t afford to get that emotionally involved. Lovely to see Danny in a tee-shirt and Steve in a tank tee-shirt though (I can't call it a wife beater, I'm sorry).
In any case not a bad episode. It was alright.
