Too Short

Jan 30, 2011 18:01

I have finally found proof that my mother will declare almost any skirt I pick up in the store "too short." I recently uncovered this while we were browsing about Ann Taylor Loft. I picked up a pretty, pinkish watercolor floral pencil skirt.

"Ooh, look at this. Its pretty!"
"Its short."

I sighed.

"You say everything is short."
"It is. Hold it up to yourself."
"This isn't my size, this is size 00."
"Well, do it anyway."
"Its going to look different."
"Well, find your size and go put it on."

So, I did just that. When I put it on I realized that the skirt was knee length. I came out of the dressing room satisfied (not with the skirt, it didn't fit quite right) with my discovery.

"Still think its too short?"
"I just like saying that to bother you."

Sure you do, Mom.

P.S.
No school since Monday, due to snow. Had some excellent (Failtastic) adventures attempting to snowboard and sled with my little brother, my cousin, my little sister and Moonlight. Then we baked cookies and mocked the Disney channel.

P.P.S
Russ got me playing a game called Echo Bazaar. Its fun! And likely to become addicting. >.<

ironic, life, mother, #parents just don't understand, #what is wrong with the world today, #snow happens, #hopes dreams and other nonsense, #unimpressed face, normal, about me
