[MOD] Important announcement regarding the future of this community
We are a few weeks late in posting, but we hope everyone had a great and safe time celebrating NEWS’ 17th anniversary!
NEWS is and has always been an evolving group, and amidst all these changes (good or bad), we are still proud to stand by them and support them throughout their journey. And going along with the idea of change, we have also decided to step down as this community’s moderator. We have contemplated closing 4newsfans for good, but thought that another option would be to hand it over to someone who is willing to take over and revamp it. However, if no one steps up, we will ultimately be closing 4newsfans by the end of October.
Back when 4-member NEWS had just started fresh, this community was created by three (stressed but willing to make it work!) fans in 2014, during a time where news-jpop was inactive and unmoderated for a while. Now that it's back to being actively moderated, it seems to sufficient enough to have only one main NEWS community to keep the fandom updated. Or perhaps, 4newsfans could still stand to be a good alternative or supplementary comm with a new team. Therefore, fans who are willing to take over this community are welcome to contact us by sending a private message to 4newsfans_mod, or rather contact us directly through our LJ or twitter accounts.
Anyway, thank you to everyone who followed and participated in this community for the past 6 years! It was an amazing experience and it will always be a great treasure and memory for us.
