To The Brave On This Day Of Love...
I wake up to the song of the birds singing of wishes and hopes
They sing with me for those taking a bullet far away from home
Risking your own life to save the lives of strangers you don’t know
Wanting and making the world a better place, you’re not alone
Every time you feel like you cannot go on, you feel so lost
All you see is darkness all around, you can’t see which way to go
I am always by your side, so don’t despair and never lose hope
Turn to me, I am never far away, I’m with you and have trust
I'm on my knees each and every night, begging and pleading
Praying to the One above for you to return right where you are needed
It's not home until you are with me safe and sound and we are completed
The candle will keep burning, guiding and promising that I will for you stay heeded.
