Alihotsy causes madness. Snape's father fed them to his mother to drive her mad :D

Yes, either Snape's father fed them to his mother or Snape's mother overdosed on the leaves in a mistaken attempt to cheer herself up.

Thank you for promoting this fanfic in your personal LJ :-)

Now, which backstory do you want? You don't have to answer immediately--this project will be around for the next 27 weeks.

If I wasn't so bleary and groggy in the morning, I'd leave proper feedback, but all I can say is, this is so so promising, and I've been waiting for so long to see this done properly, HP/ Le Petit Prince.

I love Le Petit Prince for all sorts of reasons - because it meant something to me when I was eight, thirteen, eightteen, twenty-one ( ... )

*point to your icon* I love that doujinshika! Chibi Kurama and chibi Hiei is just too cute!

>>>>>It has a lovely beginning and a wonderful premise that develops HP so well it looks like it will stand alone perfectly - this Snape chapter is a elegant and bizarre, but so "wizardly" detailed.

Thank you for the feedback :-) It is my intention that each chapter can stand on its own as a short story. I go through rapid mood oscillations while bouncing ideas around for this fanfic. Care to join the discussion comm. at toestablishties? I'd greatly welcome you as a die-hard LP lover.

>>>>>because it meant something to me when I was eight, thirteen, eightteen, twenty-one.

Wow. So how did you understand it when you were eight and when you were thirteen? As I wrote in my author's bio, I first read The Little Prince one summer, in the beginning of my first romantic relationship. (I was 18). Then I reread it at 19. Then I re-discovered it recently (almost a month ago ( ... )

There's a comm? How lovely! I'll have to sign up. And I like the short story idea as well- it's so "right" with the LP original.

Yes- now we're part of that long long long wacky discussion post over at red_rahl's. hahaha. I have no shame about poking people for conversations.

I don't know what LP meant when I was eight - mostly loved the snake and the hat pictures, and thought the sheep were mildly disturbing-looking. The rose was fun when he was on his planet, and the travels were fun, but Earth was boring to me then. The fox was mere "meh" to an 8-year old.

I'll have to take a look at the Wolf's Rain picture. I must admit yukipon drawing the cover art would be fantastic, but if not, I'd doodle around and see how it turns out.

Cheers!

Please do. ^_^ F-locked posts contain spoilers of the fanfic. If you don't mind spoilers (and my rapid mood oscillations) I'll friend you too.

>>>>>and thought the sheep were mildly disturbing-looking.

ROTFL. Agreed. They look as if they're going to keel over and die at any moment. They also look demented and evil.

>>>>>I'd doodle around and see how it turns out.

Thanks, please share later!

That scene is from...chapter seven or eight? So there's still time. I might end up drawing it myself, or collaborate with rea_saint (he's drawing Lucius for chapter one)...it's just that I'm v. v. bad at drawing poses. Hair and clothes I can do...but poses...

I John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

This looks like it is going to be a great story. I've found it hard to find good crossovers in HP. I loved the first chapter, esp with Snape as the narrator.

Are you planning to post the new chapters on Tuesdays?

Correct :-) Did you have to do a search onlune to find the exact Bible verse? *g* (This verse is not quoted that often, unlike John 3:16 "For God so loved the world ( ... )

Yup- Google rocks.

I read The Little Prince when I was little, long ago. I keep meaning to swipe the copy from home and add it to my traveling library.

Yeah I read the userinfo after I posted that...
I found a link to this on the harrylovesdraco comm.

Yes I occasionally drop by Sam's lj and go through his posts (b/c they tend to be very amusing). I love LC and Hufflepuff!Draco.

I'm not sure yet on which backstory, though I probably will request something about Draco or Harry.

You can also read LP online here. I'm currently looking for a good French/Mandarin/English book of LP. My friend told me Kinokuniya has one.

Sam is perfect, except that he doesn't like LP *g*. We had a loong discussion on LP after his post on who Johnny Depp should play as next. Some commentors suggested the aviator from LP.

I _love_ Hufflepuff!Draco *kidnap him away from his lunatic eccentric mother* I'm happily waiting for an LC update. Oh, did you read Sam's LordPeterWimsey!Draco? Love that one also.

Thank you :-)

If you want to know what's going to happen next (ahead of this fanfic), you can always read The Little Prince. *g*

it's actually my favourite book from when I was a little girl. It's rare to see well-done crossovers

Try reading it again. *g* You'd probably have a completely different reaction.

I once tried to read the book in its original French but sadly couldn't finish.
Nonetheless, I love this and think it's adorably brilliant :D

Thank you :-) I don't know French, but wish I do so I can read LP in French.

You can always read the English translation. I prefer the 1944 Katharine Woodward translation to the 2000 translation.

I've taken some French in school but not enough to get me through the book. And thank you for the link!
