I John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
This looks like it is going to be a great story. I've found it hard to find good crossovers in HP. I loved the first chapter, esp with Snape as the narrator.
Are you planning to post the new chapters on Tuesdays?
Winner #2 :-) for Question #343sunsetsApril 26 2005, 17:22:04 UTC
Correct :-) Did you have to do a search onlune to find the exact Bible verse? *g* (This verse is not quoted that often, unlike John 3:16 "For God so loved the world
( ... )

You can also read LP online here. I'm currently looking for a good French/Mandarin/English book of LP. My friend told me Kinokuniya has one.
Sam is perfect, except that he doesn't like LP *g*. We had a loong discussion on LP after his post on who Johnny Depp should play as next. Some commentors suggested the aviator from LP.
I _love_ Hufflepuff!Draco *kidnap him away from his lunatic eccentric mother* I'm happily waiting for an LC update. Oh, did you read Sam's LordPeterWimsey!Draco? Love that one also.

Sam's LordPeterWimsey!Draco
Hmm... no I don't think so. I might read it and not have realized hit upon the connection. I've only just recently come across an essay comparing Lord Peter to Draco, but I haven't read any of the books though I mean to eventually.
Thanks for the link to LP! (Homework? Who does homework?)
Do your HW or I shall not write the back-story for you! *LOL*
Some people have commented that LP should not be read in one sitting (because of its randomness and surrealness). I, of course, disagree (but then I'm the type of person who read just about any novel in one sitting).
I was going to give you the link to Sam's fic but then realized you don't need more temptations. It's the one called "Wolves" smth smth...
Re: HomeworkalbichorizonApril 27 2005, 03:13:32 UTC
I can see the value of reading each chapter individually. That way you can savor and ponder the individual chapters more. But now that I've recently read it, it really isn't that long a book. (Yeah I also devour novels in one sitting.)
Could you give me the link anyways? Everything that needs doing for tomorrow is done and I couldn't find the story in his list of HP fanfiction.

Loved it. I'm going to have to reread it again, though after the semester ends.
It was neat to read about the different grownups the Prince met and understand some of the bigger picture the author was trying to convey. Or when I was a child and read this story I understood it differently then I did when I read yesterday.
The ending made me tear up. And the fox too, of course.

Yes ;_; Gah. At least we know that the little prince is alive and has gone back to his rose and his planet safely. The sheep does _not_ eat the rose! *wail*
Sam dislikes it though. He felt the ending was written to make the reader cry.

You see, that doesn't bother me. If a story can pull a strong emotional response out of me (other then ewww disgusting) I like it. I feel like I'm in touch with what the author is trying to convey.
I prefer an ending that resolves the story well as opposed to some happy ending or one that is illogical. That is why I like the ending to LP - the story is in the narrator's POV and if I was told by the author how the Prince returned home, then I wouldn't like it as much. After all, who isn't sad to see a friend leave? Although the snakebite thing had me worried for a bit.

Agreed. I get angry if the characters I love get a bad ending though. Or if the super-long novel ended hanging (like Gone with the Wind).
Would you like to join this fanfic's discussion community toestablishties? I'm torn about the end of this fanfic, although that's 26 weeks (half-a-year) away...I would appreciate your thoughts, esp. regarding resolving the story.
[Spoilers for the Tale of the Shining Prince series] BTW, the fanfic I was referring to _is_ The Tale of The Shining Prince. I just realized that it parallels the plot of "Hikaru Genji no Monogatari," this famous Japanese literature about a playboy prince named Hikaru Genji (light/shining prince). I've posted a summary of Hikaru Genji under your comment in harry_draco. Gah. At least Harry committed suicide in the end. So he didn't actually _rape_ Claude. *sob for Draco and Claude*

Yup- Google rocks.
I read The Little Prince when I was little, long ago. I keep meaning to swipe the copy from home and add it to my traveling library.
Yeah I read the userinfo after I posted that...
I found a link to this on the harrylovesdraco comm.
Yes I occasionally drop by Sam's lj and go through his posts (b/c they tend to be very amusing). I love LC and Hufflepuff!Draco.
I'm not sure yet on which backstory, though I probably will request something about Draco or Harry.
