Pardon My Ignorance, Please.

I'm not quite sure why I don't understand what's going on. I hate when I don't understand something. Bother's the hell out of me.

[What] I'm referring too is the new Transformers character that IDW and co. have recently introduced. Drift. If you haven't heard of him, you either live under a rock or your just a random person whose reading this. I do ( Read more... )

You made some very valid points I'll admit that. Seeing that I haven't even actually seen him in the comics yet I can't really say whether I like him or not. So far its just off images I've seen of him & like I said he seems appealing 'looks' wise I haven't read and see his 'character' yet.

I can understand that people not finding they don't like him, for not liking change, I don't mind that, I can respect that to a reasonable point. Its these people that go about bitching about him and making fools of themselves when they haven't given Drift a chance yet. Its kinda sad.

"...not a Gary Stu or anything. He also better have a good reason for being there. I understand that sometimes it's necessary to make a new character to help get a story moving on..." Him being a Gary, I hope he doesn't turn into being one...though personally I don't have much problems with Gary's/Mary's as long as there not blown totally out of proportion.

As for him being there for the story movement that too. I don't mind that it 'revolving around him' in his Spotlight, isn't that why Spotlight is there? But in AHM that's different to a point, how, I'm not sure how to explain w/out some serious thought and make this reply even longer.

I'm glad I'm NOT the only person who agrees with me on the 'serious' thing! :] I want to see more of that from the TF's. Like you said; there in a freaking WAR for Pete's Sake!

Don't feel back I haven't read any of Revelations yet either. Oh and I'd totally love that link if you don't mind ^__^.

Thanks for your input, too.

Yeah, when I sit back and think about it, I'm kinda like that too and I do eventually like him/her but not always usually my assumptions are which ever they originally start as. Not always though. Your statement about him being important & not be introduced other wise makes perfect sense. I'm sure IDW & co got their reasons.

I don't mind getting into deep, serious, discussions with people but a total all out argument slash 'war' is a little to much for me.

Thanks loads for the links; it took me a minute to figure out what the heck I was suppose to be doing >P (I'm technology dumb sometimes) but I figured it out! Thanks again <3
