Doc Cheesers

If I'd tried a little harder I bet I could've found two pictures that resemble each other even more than these two, but you probably get the point.

Cheese is at least 2.5 years old now, which is a pretty good lifespan for a rat. Most of my rats make it to 2, but I've only had one who lived to be older than three. She was an albino (or "PEW" to my rat-friends) so, as she got older, the only changes we noticed were in her energy level and finally her mobility. Cheese started out blonde, but over the past few months, his fur has thinned out and turned more of a silvery color. I've seen older rats get a few, sparse grey hairs, but nothing like Ol' Cheesers. It's pretty neat.

Cheese has almost always had a permanent goofy expression; it's just one of his more prevalent traits which I assume he'll always have. When you combine the goofy face with the slow greying of his hair, he's started to remind me of Doc from "Back to the Future."

What do you think?
Am I absolutely right, or am I just a crazy rat lady?
