Title: Half / Empty
Fandom: Undertale/Breath of Death VII
Characters/Pairings: Sans, Papyrus, Dem/Sara
Rating: PG-13
Tags: spoilers, tragedy, no fourth wall, fusion AU
Word count: 300
Summary: A backstory for an AU where Sans is Dem who was adopted.
Papyrus wants to hear again the story of how Sans came to be part of their family.
Sans was worried that Papyrus might be upset to learn that his big brother wasn't really related to him. He had just shrugged - they were both skeletons and there weren't many skeletons around so they were probably related in some way after all, and besides, he could pretend he was the Crown Prince and his brother was the adopted Prince. Most of all, he just found the story fascinating, like a fairy tale.
"Back then, I wasn't called Sans," he told his brother, both of them sprawled on their battered but comfy old sofa, "I was called Dem."
"Like... half, instead of none?"
Sans nodded, sad longing in his one flaming blue eye, "There was a girl called Sara. She was the other half of my being."
"I never figured you for such a romantic, bro! I still say you should put in a good word for me with Undyne."
"Except that's not how you impress girls and anyway Undyne isn't interested in goofballs," or men, he mentally added, before sighing, "And I'm the worst person to ask. I lost her. Everyone, and our world. I wasn't given the option to save them. Do you understand? The options in the dialogue box..." he sighed again and shook his head, "No, you wouldn't understand what the hell I'm talking about. It's advanced higher-dimensional metaphysics. I'm the dummy for thinking that anyone else understands things like that," Except Gaster, but I lost him, too, on my own selfish quest to find Him and punish Him.
I've found out where he goes, though, I can track Him. He has to come out, you can't live in a debug room, and anyway he ate Toriel's phone.

Title: Howl at the Moon
Fandom: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2
Characters/Pairings: Hare of Inaba, Jack Frost, Heqet, Pixie
Rating: PG-13
Tags: AU, worldbuilding
Word count: 300
Summary: Today I saw the headline 'Moon to get Mobile Phone Network'...
"You know, there's a mobile phone network on the moon," the Hare of Inaba commented.
They had all stopped to look up at the huge speckled globe that hung over them, its usual soft luminescence unusually bright and tinged with a weird yellow. Once it became full, they knew, the greater demons would go into a blood frenzy and the lesser demons would become their closest and most convenient prey, provided there weren't any juicy humans around. The phases of the moon were something all demons knew to check if they wanted to survive. It was pretty, too, somehow instinctively fascinating. A full moon was catnip for the smaller demons, too, they knew, it just caused less havoc when they ran amok.
"And...?" demanded the Heqet who sat beside him, swinging her legs over the edge of the bridge railing.
"And a COMP is just a fancy mobile phone," Jack Frost finished for the Hare.
"Thinking of going to the moon, bunny?" asked the Pixie who buzzed around the ice fairy's hat, "You'll fit in there, I hear."
"We should all go. No bigger folk to trouble us up there, no humans to boss us around," said the Hare.
Jack Frost shook his head, "There are humans on the moon. How d'you think they got a phone signal up there? Humans get everywhere, they're the actual worst vermin. And if we can get up there, how do we stop the bigger guys following us?"
"A trustworthy human in charge of the COMP. Or we just make sure we scout the place and find all the best spots to hide. It's hard to kick someone out of their home turf," said the rabbit.
"No such thing as a trustworthy human," replied Jack Frost.
"I'd like to go," said Heqet, "Sounds romantic."
