Peace and quiet? What's that?
So, management has decided to replace all the furnature that came with the apartment. Removal will happen over Jan 4-8. Delivery will happen Jan 8-15. This suggests the possibility that I could be left with minimal furnature for several days, which I'd be quite unhappy about. The only item they're giving a firm estimate on is the bed, which is supposed to be removed and replaced on the 8th.
Furnature to remove my belongings from:
* Desk
* Plant table
* Shelving unit (currently holding kitchen supplies)
* 3 chairs (currently standing in for end-tables)
* Filing cabinet (currently serving as a dresser)
* Kitchen table
* Couch
* Bed (Thursday, 1/8)
They had better not want the refridgerator. It's full of food that isn't going anywhere.
Have sent e-mail inquiring whether the new furnature will be of similar dimensions to the old items - a nontrivial consideration in the tiny apartment.
I'm glad I kept the boxes from moving in.
