i rarely ever update this livejournal anymore. there just isn't enough time in the day. life is hectic, but i feel most productive when challanged at a level such as this. i wonder what will happen to my newfound technique and concentration as i look to this 4 month long summer. i'm really very excited to get this dorm room all packed up and stored at manhattan mini storage, downtown near Water Street, where I'll be living next year with Julia on the 26th floor. today is saturday, april 8, and in 3 weeks and 3 days from now, i will be checking out and checking into my jetblue flight to orlando, florida. my brother will greet me at the gate with my recently-turned 1 year old niece, abigail, who will remember who i am, and i will have NOTHING to do for a few weeks. weird to think of it. but with all thats going on now, with finals and demos and work and thinking about packing and trying to keep it all straight, it seems further away than 3.5 weeks. and once i get there, i'm sure it'll be nice for awhile, then i'll yearn for the hustle of new york. i'll wish for a 9am jazz class, for long days full of work, paid and impassioned without pay. but my home theatre is doing Wizard of Oz this summer, which i'm excited about. it is so classic, legendary; when many others musicals are wiped from our memories, we will always remember Wizard of Oz. and to live up to that? to live up to telling one of the first truly american fairy tales? sounds like a wonderful challange where larry would tell us, just breathe, love. it's very interesting. also, ive been asked to teach acting to a summer camp of kids ages 8-18 from 9a-3p for five days a week, and collaborate to stage their musical, a very cute arrangement of vignettes about transportation throughout history called Are We There Yet? then, Tommy and I are planning, at the end of the summer, to do a staged reading of our beloved Mac Wellman play A Murder of Crows. Should be intense and interesting. I cannot wait to work with the people I love working with, knowing what i've learned this year about technique and focus.

now, i have to get showered and go to work at my beloved NYU Cmputer Store. should be a good time. and the only reason I'm saying that is because I can read my book, A Prayer for Owen Meany, which is a truly beautiful experience for me right now. makes me want to get into a religious, philosophical debate with someone. over lots of coffee. meredith? ha. i'm not sure she still reads these, but if you do, you, me, mitchells, and we'll talk about this book. :o)

love, me
