Okay, I've decided to follow the Daily Bread admonition to read through the Bible, yearly.
As a family, and by myself, I have read the Bible clear through a couple of times, and now,
in 2011, I'm probably on my sixth or seventh year of reading the Bible from page to page,
using the Daily Bread as a guide.
This year Darcey gave me The Daily Bible "In Chronological Order 365 Daily Readings"
and it has renewed my daily Bible reading experience! It is filled with notes that at first I
thought would take too much time but instead have vastly illuminated my experience and
understanding and joy of letting God talk to me!
So now, with that introduction I will tell you that with every year, every year! I find new facets
that God reveals to me.
To backtrack a little...God has blessed Ruby and me with an acreage in the mountains
of Colorado. And he has let us share His blessings with family and friends. The place
has been referred to by many names..."Robin's Roost" by MIl Healy..."Jeremiah's Joint" by
Doug Newlon. However, personally, probably due to lack of creativity or imagination, I have
always just called this property "The Land".
Today's Bible reading included these verses:
"The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine;
for you are but aliens and sojourners wth Me.
Thus for every piece of your property, you are to provide for the redemption of the land."
Leviticus 25: 23-24
