I just keep messing up. I don't really know why, but I think I'm afraid of really being happy. I thought that I could be happy with only myself, and I can, but to be with just myself forever? I don't think that's really how people are meant to live ( Read more... )

You're still young. It's natural to be afraid of truly commiting at a young age. It means you're not ready. As long as you can be happy with yourself though, I'm sure someday, you'll feel confident enough not to push someone away.

Moving doesn't necessarily help, as you're not there to go through the whole moving on process properly. If you need to cry, then cry. It can be more healing than most people realize. Translate your feelings into your art, as another outlet.

Someday you'll look at this as yes, a path you may regret taking, but one you've hopefully learned from. And if you've apologized, especially repeatedly, then stop doing so. He'll either be able to move on with that apology, or not. There's only so many times a person can, or should, do so. One can't take things back, but doesn't mean you need to grovel for it forever.

Perhaps you can be friends with him again, in the future, perhaps not. For now it sounds like it might be best if you take a step back and work on coming to terms with things for yourself before you even think about dealing with him.

And if all else fails, call me, I don't mind listening to a friend.
