Blew it already
Okay, so not so much with the everyday thing. Whatever.
Class tonight...I love this class, which only underlines the depths to which my geekiness can go. We talked about Boethius and Fate and Providence and the history of greek philosophy--I need to learn more about that--and then we started Sir Orfeo and talked about the kingly code and minstrelcy, which I didn't even know was a word before today. I still think the children in this class--at least the young 20's--are more concerned with impressing their classmates than anything else. There probably aren't any real parallels between Sir Orfeo and Joyce's Ulysses so stop making them up!
Note for future writing reference--the medieval religious explanation for the faerie world was angels that stayed neutral in the conflict between Lucifer and God. Not altogether bad, but not 100% good either. Interesting.
