Key West Weekend..
I had a wonderful time with Bob as we went to Key West for the weekend - I haven't been away for a getaway in almost a year and a half, so it was great to go. Neither of us had spent any time in KW in eight years - since our first weekend away together back in 2000. So much has changed - all of the landmarks from that period of time are now gone - even, surprisingly, Atlantic Shores, which was the home of the clothing optional pool, and the big T-Dance on Sunday. It is kind of surreal - Duval Street is now loaded with national chains - and tons of straight families wandering around like Night of the Living Parrotheads.. Hell, the Strand is now a Walgreens. But, Old Town is still filled with great little houses, and there's still some fun to be had on the island. And, nice sunsets..
