met up with my mom and we got my uniform, i gotta go back for sizing, patch stitching and my sweet steel toe boots, aw shit. i haven't decided if i look real good, or real lame yet. maybe its because i have to wear unisex pants...
my mom also gave me 2 scrap books my grandma spent months on making for me. they're full of family photos from her parents up until the present. its so beautiful, i started crying. something that i can pass down and add too. this co-insides with the binder she made me for christmas of photos, marriage certificates, death certificates, love letters, news paper clippings, confederate rankings(lol), family history and a family tree that dates back to king john.
the scrap book was all the the people i never got to meet, pictures of my handsome grandpa that i wish i knew, my amazing great uncles, their pro baseball and greenbay packers induction, my mom and aunt and uncle and me, weddings (it was the first time i had ever seen the man my mother was married to before my dad), when my parents were together, trips to the south (AL,GA,MISS,NC,SC) and my grandmas trips (bitch has been everywhere, on the real), everyones baby pictures/my birth. it had everyones service pictures/army shots, the only people not on the service wall is my mom and aunt(shes a hippie). and i'm honored that be filling in the missing link, my great grandmother being a nurse, my grandma being a army nurse, and i will be placed on the service wall right next to them.
