I hate online gamers
I've been playing a lot of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 online on DS recently. I'm sure I have more wins than I do losses. There was one particular character who was about as good as me that was annoying as hell. Of course, the DS doesn't have message or chat or voice functions online (well, not in UMK3 anyway) so how did he annoy me, you ask?
After a few matches, he started taking long to pick his character. He would keep his cursor on the default icon for a while, then pick his character after 10 seconds...or 30 seconds...then one match it took him about 5 minutes to finally pick a character (assuming he's probably doing other things, but frick, don't play online if you have other things to do!). 5 minutes!
A bit later, after I won a match (I always have to win the last match before I leave), I decide to just mute the volume, close the DS (which doesn't put it to sleep when you're connected online) and leave him hanging overnight.
Boy, am I a jerk.
I checked about 45 minutes later and the game was still going. What the heck? I hoped he probably put the DS down too and so I was going to pick my character, and hopefully beat up on an idle player for the win. Unfortunately, as I tried to do random select (which you do by pressing UP+Start), I hit the power button instead of up (I have the old DS) and I turned my DS off. Now, the jerk from perhaps halfway around the world probably thinks he won the war :(
