Reposting from Sistermoon who stole it from another nurse:
As my friend said sometime later, it is the nurses who make the hospital: underpaid and overworked, but they are the heart. The doctors receive all the credit for recovery, but really they have nothing to do with it. It is who tends to your wounds, emotional and physical, who is responsible for how you view the scars the rest of your life.
Twenty three days of 12 hour shifts at work two days a week (Saturday and Sunday), then 12 hour shifts at my ICU preceptorship two days a week (Thur and Friday), 7 hour school day complete with exams on Wednesdays, and 12 hour clinical days for school on Monday and Tuesdays. Hmmmm. When do I do my case studies and NCLEX questions? Or sleep? Or see my Love? Okay only 13 days left of this game.
: )
I scheduled 4 days off for us to enjoy Valentines weekend. Then I'll study and work on my projects for the rest of the semester.
