Hump Day
My day in bullet point.
--awakened at an ungodly hour (9:00 a.m. after staying up until 2:00 the night before) by yapping brothers and sister who'd driven down from Chicago
--took a raincheck from driving up to Katie at ISU
--went to Driver's Services in Belleville to renew my license; took all of forty-five minutes and $30 since I didn't have to take a written test; my picture's only slightly better than the old one
--met family at Red Lobster for lunch; had fish and chips and a Bahama Mama; realized my social awkwardness is an inherited trait
--went with my sister to the grocery store to pick up stuff for tomorrow including more pie; also snagged some vodka, two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, a jar of Biscoff spread, Bosco chocolate bars (?), and cheddar cheese (oh, yeah, we're gonna partay!)
--parked myself at Panera for NaNo; hit an impasse; stared into space a bit (nothing major, just feeling around for a good bridging scene)
--decided to fuck it and go home
--ate jerk chicken sister brought with her from Chi-town
--played Little Big Planet with the brothers
--ate cookies (the peanut butter thumbprints I baked with Jess Monday)
--now watching Gran Torino... and contemplating eating more cookies
I'm supposed to be ready at 9:00 tomorrow to go to my sister's boyfriend's place and make the pie, and from there, we're going to head over to our aunt's house. I'm not promising any miracles, though.
