New Years resolutions

OK, So I've thought long and hard about this. In the past I didn't do resolutions, but the few times I've written it down I've managed to do it. I guess writing it makes it more permanent. So here goes.

First, I want to be a happier person. I'm not exactly sure how to go about this. I think my present state of mind, which has been my state of mind for years upon years, is due to having CF and growing up thinking I only had a little time to live. Each birthday being potentially my last. Then all the health struggles I've had has tempered my enthusiasm for most anything. For now, I've made a list of things that make me happy. I will try to do them more often and see how that helps. Here is that list:
  • Listening to Music
  • Accomplishing a goal\task
  • Creating things (Stained glass, pieces of code, hopefully boomerangs at some point)
  • Sunny days (When it sunny I need to try and find something to do outside)
  • A really good meal
  • Theatre events
  • Karate when I can get myself to attend regularly
  • Camping
  • Interesting fantasy books with good characters.
  • A Good nights rest.
  • Cycling, or other physical activities when I can push myself to do them.
  • Being able to buy an item at will, without undue consideration of the money involved.
  • A day at the amusement park with short lines and lots of coasters.
  • Sex (That should go without saying)
  • Solving problems
The Second thing, is to lose some weight. I am currently 179. I would like to be around 160. It shouldn't be that hard to lose that much and maintain it, but I think it will take a good amount of will power and dedication. I also think it would help me feel better about myself.

Finally, I would like to be more productive overall. In a way, I think these goals go hand in hand. Hopefully it will start a good cycle.
