Summary: Sometimes it feels like the worlds crashing down on you, but maybe, just maybe it isn't all that bad?
A/N: So, this was written for the wasurenaisa summer'09 contest.
Monday
When the week starts with Ryo being late for a photo shoot because he got lost, it can’t mean anything good. At least for the management.

On that faithful Monday morning, Shige’s studying in the dressing room when his phone rings.
“Shigee~~ You have got save me, I love you, it was nice knowing you~~~!!!” Shige promptly drops his pen. Ryo. Whining. At… 7.30. In the freaking morning.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Shige asks, rather bluntly, once he comes out of his stupor. At least it gets Ryo quiet for a while, then Ryo continues his wailing.
“Shigee~~ I’m lost, somewhere in Shibuya, and rabid fangirls are molesting me and… Is this how much you care for your boyfriend?” By now Shige’s convinced that Ryo must have hit his head when he fell off the bed that morning.
“Ryo-chan, I can’t help if you don’t tell me where you are. How did you get there anyway?” Then there’s all sorts off noise, horns blaring, girls screaming and… The distinctively familiar voice of a certain KAT-TUN member.
“Oh don’t worry, Bakanishi’s here. I guess I’ll just hitch a ride. See you!” With that the line is cut but Shige seems frozen in spot, staring blankly at the wall, still holding the phone to his ear and mouth hanging open rather ridiculously. That’s how Koyama finds him when he storms in five minutes later.
“Oh, good morning Shige!” No answer. Koyama moves over to the table where Shige’s at and waves a hand in front of him. Nothing.
“Tegoshi! Shige’s frozen, help meeeeee!” Tegoshi strolls through the door calmly and walks over to the other two, Massu munching on a sandwich following him in and gracelessly plopping himself on the couch. Tegoshi looks at Shige for a while, then tries to wave his hand in front of Shige (still nothing) and then resolves in the good ol’ slap in the back. With a force that’s enough to send Shige’s head straight into the table, and that finally brings Shige back to Earth, spluttering, but alive.
Once the situation is back to somewhat normal, Tegoshi takes off to join Massu on the couch, with a loud “I’m God, I have magic powers!” that makes Shige gape at him.
When Koyama asks him what happened, he waves his hand and tells him to ask Ryo, who stomps in as if on cue, a string of curses audible long before the man himself. Absolutely no one pays attention to the figure who walked in after Ryo, at least until Yamapi walks in and bumps into him sending him straight into Ryo, who turns and fleas to plop on Shige’s lap very unexpectedly with a “Oh no, not again!”
Yamapi stares at the familiar mop of hair before him for a while before the other finally turns around to see what Ryo was talking about.
“JIN!” “PI!” The names are spoken, or more precisely screamed, at the same moment before the two lunge at each other like wolves. Ryo makes a sound of throwing up and buries his face in Shige’s neck, who in turn tries to study. Tegoshi and Massu notice nothing aside the world of gyoza, and Koyama watches with rapt attention as the NEWS’ leader and Jin share their morning kiss. He knows he shouldn’t watch, but can’t look away. He’s just about to turn around when Jin pulls away finally, looks at his way and smirks, and Koyama’s hooked all over again. Jin winks at him before pressing a quick peck on Yamapi’s lips and taking off towards his own dressing room.
Tuesday
NEWS stroll around the set like the professionals they are, at least until Jin pokes his head through the side door and grins mischievously to Koyama who just happens to catch his eye. Then he proceeds to Yamapi. Suddenly there’s Tegoshi, dragging Koyama to who knows where.
When Ryo hears Yamapi’s scream, averts his attention from his food to his leader - a mistake, he realized later on - to find him in a fierce tongue battle with Jin, he’s again tormented by the question, why was he those two idiots’ best friend again? Furiously, Ryo stomps off, leaving Massu to finish off his lunch as well, to find Shige standing only a few feet away from Yamapi and Jin, looking at some of the mornings photos.
“Oh, hey, wha-” he begins when Ryo harshly turns him around and uses the possibility to shove his tongue into the younger man’s mouth, not that he would protest much anyway. They break off with a mutual “Ewww,” when they hear Jin squealing “Cool, now we can have hot foursome!”
And that’s exactly where Koyama found his way back to the studio, and without a moment’s hesitation glared at his best friend. Then Jin was next to him, whispering, “Don’t worry, we’ll work our way up through threesome,” and then he was gone again.
Wednesday
Honestly, no real mishaps during Wednesday.
Well, Tegoshi had gone out during the weekend and therefore was on practically every gossip magazine’s cover, published on Wednesdays. Funny thing, on each photo, there’s a different girl or girls hanging off of him.
The moment Ryo and Shige come to the dressing room, the older unceremoniously dumps himself on the couch, reaching for one of Tegoshi’s magazine’s. Shige watches avidly from the sidelines, so does Tegoshi.
“Oh God, not again,” the words are out of Ryo’s mouth practically before he has even seen the cover and the magazine back on the table and Ryo hanging on Shige for dear life. Tegoshi laughs.
“We’re all friends, no need to call me God, Tegoshi’s enough,” he says with an easy grin.
Thursday
The day Ryo has been waiting for [for] a few weeks has finally come. The past few weeks have been exam season for Shige, leaving Ryo to be very sexually frustrated. But today, the results are coming in, and Ryo’s certain Shige’s aced them all, as always. And when that happens, Shige’s very happy, and that means Ryo’s going to have the time of his life in the darkness of the night.
That said he’s all smiles today, even if Shige isn’t so sure about everything. Ryo being the good boyfriend he is, he gets them both food and drinks to the dressing room when they break for lunch in between practice. They read Tegoshi’s magazines together, having a laugh, Ryo doing his best to ease Shige’s anxiousness.
Ten minutes before their break ends, Shige’s phone rings, someone is calling in his results. Shige glances at Ryo beside him who smiles reassuringly before picking up the phone.
“Hello? Yeah that’s me,” Ryo watches Shige intently. “Good, the- EH?” Ryo’s eyes widen, no, it can be he… “I understand, I’ll be there tomorrow morning. Thank you, bye.” As he puts the phone down the shock is evident on Shige’s face. Ryo puts a hand on his shoulder.
“What happened?” Shige turns to him with a pout. Ryo would have thought it was cute if weren’t so concerned about… Well… That.
“I failed.” NONONO, this can’t be, why, oh why?
“Which one?” Ryo asks silently.
“That one,” Shige answers, as if Ryo should understand with just that. He doesn’t, but Shige doesn’t need to know that. Ryo just wraps his arms around the younger man, listening to his calm breathing while cursing Shige’s teachers in his head.
Needless to say, Ryo spends another evening horny.
Friday
It’s not unusual, but still Ryo feels weird going to work on his own, without Shige, who went to Aoyama to re-take his test. He doesn’t want to recall Monday, when he got lost. This time though he makes it to work just fine and fine Koyama sitting on the couch between Yamapi and Jin, looking very flustered. Ryo doesn’t even want to know and turns on his heel to head towards the cafeteria.
Upon entering, he freezes.
“…” He takes two steps forwards.
“Holy shit, that is the biggest gyoza I’ve ever seen!” He finally lets out and is more surprised than he should be when Massu comes out of nowhere.
“It’s awesome, right? Want a piece?” Massu asks, and Ryo barely manages to nod. It really is huge.
When Shige finally comes to work three hours later, he’s seemingly upset, and doesn’t know what else to do than just give him a kiss and lie down on his lap.
Saturday
Weekend has come again, and surprisingly, NEWS doesn’t have any work. Meaning Tegoshi’s free to go and make next week’s headlines, which he does.
Yamapi has other plans, inviting a poor unsuspecting Koyama for a dinner at his place. Unsuspecting, why? Because there’s a third party involved and the second this is revealed to him, he gets a feeling that something’s going to go very wrong that night.
Koyama, Yamapi and not-so surprisingly Jin eat dinner, courtesy of Yamapi that has Jin moaning around mouthfuls rather inappropriately (and exaggeratedly but it’s not like it doesn’t turn Koyama on). While Jin’s moaning, Yamapi isn’t sitting back, instead playing footsie with Koyama, who has severe trouble with eating and is certain he’ll stay hungry for quite a while, but he’s already past caring.
It’s not long before they move to the couch to “watch a movie”, according to Jin. Yamapi pulls Koyama to the couch sitting him in the middle and when Jin joins them after putting the DVD in the player, it’s like a human hamburger. A Pin hamburger with some Kei filling.
One thing leads to another, and… Well no one even knows the name of the movie, much less what it’s about.
Sunday
Sunday finds Ryo and Shige sleeping in, cuddling on their bed, though both wearing pants much to Ryo dismay.
It’s Ryo who wakes up first, used to much less sleep time than Shige. He lays in the bed for a good hour, just watching the younger man, his chest rising and falling in his peaceful sleep, the small smile on his face as he dreams of something good, the rays of sun lighting his face. He feels calm, just like that, laying in the bed beside the one he loves.
With a light kiss Shige’s lips, he gets up, a smile adorning his face. He shuffles quietly in to the kitchen, still wearing only his sweats, or maybe Shige’s, he doesn’t even know anymore. He knows it should be clear that smaller sizes are his, but it’s not unusual for him to wear Shige’s home clothes intentionally which leads to him using the unconsciously.
He turns on the coffee maker and starts on breakfast, humming under his breath. He makes waffles, Shige’s favourites, just because he feels like it. It doesn’t take all that much time before a sleepy Shige drags himself to the kitchen, and without giving Ryo a chance to turn around from his cooking, wraps his arms around the smaller and buries his face in to the crook of his neck. Ryo chuckles lightly and it makes Shige grunt in annoyance.
Shige breathes in Ryo’s scent for a few more times before mumbling “Mornin’ ” in to his neck. Ryo laughs again before answering and turning around in Shige’s arms to kiss him properly. They both have morning breath, but are enjoying themselves too much to care. After a while Ryo pulls away minding their breakfast and smiles, just like Shige, maybe a little bit more awake, but just as lovingly.
“I made breakfast,” he gestures over his shoulder to the pan behind him and Shige reluctantly unwraps his arms in favor of rubbing his eyes and covering a yawn before reaching into a cupboard for plates and utensils.
As they sit in the table, facing each other over the meals, Shige asks:
“What time is it?” And Ryo answers him even though he could have told Shige to look at the clock himself.
“7.20…?” He grins at the annoyed look on Shige’s face as he grunts and mumbles something about ”no wonder he was tired.
After breakfast they go wash their teeth. When Ryo gets out of the bathroom, he finds Shige laying on the bed, not quite asleep, but smiling at him. He joins the younger and they spend their morning just enjoying themselves.
And coincidentally, three hours later Ryo isn’t all that horny anymore.

What I’m trying to say is that it’s all right to have a bad day, or even a week every once in the while, but if keep your eyes open you might see it isn’t all that bad.
