It was storming outside and Kame hated storm with all his being. The storm had begun just when he got home and that was over four hours ago. By now, the electricity was off and Kame was curled up on his couch in the living room lit by dozen of candles. Kame was just happy that he had even those.
He sighed as he looked out of the window. There was no way he could sleep with the storm roaming outside. No way. There was absolutely nothing to do in the dark with no power and Kame was starting to get pissed.
He knew already it wasn’t the brightest idea when he got up to blow the candles, but he didn’t care. Once all the candles were out he took his keys and went out. He went just a little distance away from the building and started to scream at the sky accusing it of all sorts of things.
At some point during his rant he knew he was acting stupid and even the thought that he had lost his mind flashed in his head. But it was really relaxing just stand there screaming soaked at something that couldn’t even reply. So he kept screaming.
There were a few people out, and even fewer cars. There was one anyway, and as the driver neared, he slowed down. Kame didn’t pay any mind to him. The driver pulled out an umbrella and soon enough it was held over Kame’s head.
“You know, screaming at the sky won’t stop the storm.” The voice startled Kame who quickly spun around.
“J-Jin!” He blushed as he realized the older man had caught him screaming at the sky. He really must have hit his head and lost his mind. Jin just laughed.
“Come on, let’s go inside. I came to keep you company as soon as I could,” Jin stated. That had been another thing bugging Kame’s mind. He had asked Jin to come with him but the other had to work. “I know you hate rain, so don’t stand out here,” Jin continued as he put his free hand around Kame, who was now trembling. Jin gently tugged him along and they went to Kame’s apartment. Jin used his own key to get in.
After they got in Jin put Kame immediately in the shower, as the younger one seemed to have gone into a state of hypothermia. Jin searched through Kame’s wardrobe to find him something warm to wear and then got the smaller man dressed. He tugged Kame in his bed before pulling a clean pair of sweatpants from his bag and slipping under the covers as well. Kame shifted instantly and curled up next to him. Jin wrapped his arms around the still slightly trembling form of the younger man and kissed his forehead.
“I hate storms,” Kame mumbled to his shoulder. Jin smiled. Those were the first words the younger spoke since he came. He tugged Kame closer in attempt to give some of his warmth to the smaller man.
“I know. But why were you out there? You’re going to catch a cold,” Jin replied softly.
“I don’t know. I just felt like it,” Kame mumbled sleepily before drifting off. Jin chuckled softly.
As it was no surprise, the next morning Kame woke up to a horrible head ache, a runny nose and a high fever. Jin stayed beside him as much as he could. The storm was still going on and Jin made Kame promise to stay inside as he left for work. Kame stated that he would never ever go out again.
“Good, then we’ll stay here forever,” Jin replied smiling. "That is, when I get back."
