Ugh, freezing rain
The threatened freezing rain has made itself known overnight. There's bus cancellations all over the place and there's power outages due to ice build up on trees and powerlines bring said powerlines down. I've got power (obviously) but this is a nasty ass system moving through *sigh*. The walk to work will be... interesting since the sidewalks will be coated in ice. The temp is supposed to rise but the wind is clipping along with sustained wind at 30km/hr and gusts up to 80km/hr so the windchill is well into the negatives. It won't be until this afternoon that things start to settle down. Hopefully the walk home will be easier than the walk in.
Next Friday marks the 45 working days point since I ordered Ferrous and was my expected finishing date *glee*. Hopefully, HZ is on time with their production schedule and I'll get a notice saying he's being shipped to me. If all goes as it's supposed to, I should see Ferrous by the end of the month *bounces*. Fei-Lau.... *heavy sigh* until RD gets its slow ass in gear, which I don't see happening any time soon, probably means Mid-June at the earliest but could even be mid-July before they finish my order. Then add in shipping times from RD to MoC and then to me (about another 2 weeks) and it could actually be August before I see a doll I ordered in December. Wow. And not a good wow either.
I have a Cafe Nocturne thing to go to on Saturday. Hopefully the road mess from this storm will be cleared up. It should be as they're predicting above zero temps. I'm pleased to say that ticket sales are going well for the shows. If you're going to AnimeNorth this year (it's the May 24 weekend), you might wanna get them in advance. Sometimes there's tickets at the door but we also had sold out shows last year so if you don't advance buy, you're taking your chances that when you wanna go will have some seating still available.
