new glasses and doll wig

yea! I have new glasses! They are very cool and the scrip is certainly stronger than my old pair. It's also wicked cool to not have a million tiny scratches all over the damn lenses. I think I'll be going through a slight adjustment period with the new glasses as my eyes need to get used to the new scrip. I'm quite pleased though. I do find myself ( Read more... )

Jolen!!

Wow, he looks amazing! I love how the wig turned out. Cool photos of the wig cap. Whoa, I knew you wanted it long, but I'm still blown away by HOW LONG AND FULL AND FLUFFY that wig is. *grin* I can just imagine Kys playing with Jolen's hair. ^___^

Yay for new glasses! *hug* Merry Christmas! ^____^

Merry Christmas, hun. The wig turned out really well and I'm quite pleased with it. You don't see wigs this long very often and I can see it tangling easily, but this is what my vision of Jolen demanded. And yes, Kys is really going to enjoy Jolen with hair again *grins*.

oh wow, that turned out AWESOME. I've wanted to get my fingers into bamboo yarn for ages now, but just a)don't live anywhere where it can be acquired unless ordered for crazy shipping prices on the net and B) broke. :(

That is a truely gorgeous wig, I'm impressed with your mad skills!

BTW, my grand nephews (identical twins!) are due in february and have a buttload of booties and bibs waiting for them from the yarn you sent. :) Thank you for the help!

Thank you. The bamboo yarn is lovely. After working with it as I did, I have to say that you'd need to be careful when knitting with it as it splits very easy.

I'm so glad you got good use out of the yarn I sent you *grins*.

ah well, I don't knit though I'd like to learn, i'm on of those people who has to learn by watching someone else, and I'm lefthanded. and while I know that "handedness" is not supposed to matter in knitting, the few times I've had someone try to teach me I had similar problems when I tried to learn to crochet from a rightie.

I forget what yarn it was everyone told "it splits so horrible!" but I didn't have a problem with it...oh, lion brand microspun. Love that stuff. Hey let me know if you ever see any bamboo yarn online for a ridiculous cheap price (if you aren't wanting to buy it yourself.) maybe I can grab a skein or two to play with.

Man, these babies have booties in something like five shoe sizes, and really tripping bibs :) The yarn was really nice to work with, even if it was with a small hook, I used a basketweave stitck ad it turned out fantastic.

I'll pick up quite a bit of yarn at either the dollar store or the secondhand place. You kinda need to take what you can get at either place, but sometimes you luck out.

Thank you. It turned out better than I thought it would. It was a bit of a pain to work with something that long, but worth it, I think.
