Well, after all my efforts at the BMV, I will have proof of who I am and where I live that I can provide to update the information on my credit report...when they flipping mail it to me. Apparently, all pictures and ID's have to be run through facial recognition software to ensure that I am neither a terrorist nor an identity thief. Although inconvenient, it should put a damper on the cockamamie idea that "everyone has a double". However, I've been mistaken for someone's friend, neighbor, best friend from third grade, and other random people so often, I would be highly amused if my new license gets denied based on the fact that I actually do look like dozens of other people.
The absolute worst, most toxic, most negative person I've ever worked with was fired on Monday following a major blowout argument where she screamed at everyone in the store. The next day I went in, the entire energy of the whole store felt different. It was like getting a whole new job without an interview...pretty awesome. As a result, my mood has been highly elevated (but not in a manic way, just in a positive, healthier-than-I'm-used-to way) the last few days. This almost totally negates any negative side effects that may come from dating my highly troubled male coworker (though I really, really think that has resolved itself perfectly well).
I'm not really looking forward to spending the holidays with my family, but I do love them, so I'll stfu and enjoy their holidays; then I'll enjoy *my* holidays with my friends. :)
