Finally Folded Flat - Futonesque Fantasy Futon Made into An Actual Futon
This mesh has bugged me since the basegame. It markets itself as an American-style futon (that is, a couch that folds down into a bed) but MAXIS NEVER FOLDED IT DOWN INTO A BED. What gives?! This kind of bed is a college-student and broke-adult staple! I slept on a cheap futon during the summer months (that futon was recently destroyed in the flood that took out my old house, RIP futon... and house).
So, of course, with the help of... I forget. I am SO, SO SORRY. I worked on this mesh two years ago with somebody and I cannot for the life of me remember exactly who it was because my brain is a complete black hole of information. If you helped me on this, come forward and I’ll credit you! But with the help of that person, I managed to get it repo’d and with separate subsets - so if you have fabric recolours, or frame recolours, you can apply those. I did not include any textures because it’s repo’d to the Futonesque Fantasy sofa. You don’t need any EPs for this to work as it’s a basegame mesh.
This still functions as a couch - but if you have a lower bunk bed mesh or just a floating mattress (they’re easy to find if you search for them!) you can pop it on top and it’ll function as a bed. You can also use it for poses. Sadly, it’s way too low to use as an actual bed for sims without the sims themselves floating as they sleep, which is not great. But for storytelling, and for broke sims alike... this is a great thing and can also be napped on like a regular couch.
