(no subject)
Its almost 7pm and I'm exhausted. I've been in Hagerstown for 3days so far, with 8 more to go, then back home on the 7th. I cant wait, b/c I miss my baby lots! I miss sleeping next to her, and feeling her body up against mine. As odd as it sounds, I miss her snoring, and her small twitches in the night, that always assured me that she was right there with me...it helps me sleep and makes me feel safer.
Being back to work, is tough. Its been rough on my feet and back, b/c Its been 5mths since I had to be on my feet for extended periods of time. Waking up in the mornings, is not a problem, b/c I got up with Beck every morning before she had to run off to work, so I'm still used to getting up between 6-8am.
I must say though, these past 3 days have been pretty boring. Not much happens in the stock room, if you dont have a truck to receive in or DSD's to do. Yesterday, we got a 2 pallet truck...done an 2hrs. We also got in 2 boxes of DSD's...done in 2hrs. Would of had the DSD's done in 30min. if Bonnie wasnt so slow. Bonnie is the one who is training me. She has to be in her late 40's to early 50's. I know I'm going to be much faster than her when I start in my store, but for now, I get really boringly tired b/c I know if she moved quicker, I'd be more into it, b/c then we'd have to find other things to dive into. We built some furniture today. I built two end tables, a foot stool, and 2 rocking chairs...easy shit, but I slowed down with it, b/c I was on my last 2hours, and I knew I had to make this shit last...lol.
We're getting in 2 pallets tomorrow as well. One is a supply pallet that I have yet to learn what to do with, and another with an assortment of clothing on it. I really hope we get some DSD's in as well, or its going to be a really boring day again!!! I dont even know why they sent me here, b/c the reason they're not getting much freight is b/c they have inventory coming up in 2.5 weeks. I'm not experiencing the things I need to gain knowledge from. Oh well.
Another reason for why its hard to be here....OUTLETS!!! lol. The store I'm training at is part of an outlet center. They got all the good stores. Nike, Adida, Jockey, Gap, and a bunch of others. I dont know if they have an old navy or not...let me go look...nope, but they do have a Vans outlet store...cool!!
I cant spend $ anyway, only for food....but I may just spend a little on a pair of shorts though. I cant wear my jeans, its freakin hotter than hell. If I can find a good pair for 10 or less I'll get them.
I cant wait to get home. I want to kiss and hug my girl. I want to see her wonderful smile that sealed the deal when I first saw her. I love her!! :)
