(no subject)
Goodmorning LJ, how are you today?
lol.
I'm almost ready to move on. Just a few more short days, and I'm out of this apt. that is so empty its saddening. I never realized how much stuff I dont have, and its actually good...less to take with me.
By this coming wed. I'll have all my stuff stored away in my sisters garage, and counting the minutes til I see my baby. I'm heading to NY on my vacation and I'm prepared to get writers cramp from all the applications I want to fill out. I gotta get my foot in somewhere with a job. I need to work. I feel like such a bum ass mother if I'm not working. Its all good, it will be ok. I just gotta get my ass over there damn it! lol.
I went out for beers lastnight with a couple girls from work. At one point Penny was asking me about my "partner"..lol. I was just kinda taken aback, like, how the hell do you know? is it really that obvious? lol. I think its sooo cool that she is so cool about it. I told her who she was, and she knew, b/c she had seen B before while she was here visiting me. She also was like, "Is this someone new?" B/c she's also seen Jenn before. I basically said, yes and no. I've known B for 5yrs, and it was just recently that her and I become more. Even with not detailing the conversation it made me feel really excited to talk about B with someone who doesnt know my life at all. It was like a clean slate kinda thing, and it was enjoyable. There was no room to judge me...I liked that.
We just sat and talked about Syracuse, and how she thinks its a great place, and I'll love it there. From what I've seen so far, Syracuse is definately different, and I like that. Penny was telling me about a David Bowie concert she saw at the university along time ago....and how she drove the 5hrs there, saw the concert, and then drove back...all in one night...damn! Crazy woman! Its funny, b/c when I first met Penny, I thought she was a lesbian. She's so fucking cool, laidback, always something going on with her. She had the tough look, and short hair thing goin on, so I was like....ooooooo an older woman of flavor! lol. But, I was wrong. My gaydar needs to be serviced..lol. She has 3 kids, and tons of grandkids...though she isnt married, and has 3 cats...makes ya think?
I just had to get up and shut my alarm off, which means its time for me to start thinking about getting ready for work. Argh!
As much as I gripe about work, and how it sucks alot of the time...I'm going to miss it. Its all I've known how to do for the past 5yrs. And of course the people..I'm going to miss the ones that have been working with me since day 1. When my last day comes, I will be very sad, but with every closing door.....ya know?
