I'm wearing my new shirt! YAY. i feel pretty today. New stuff is fun.
Time to go buy my Greece Hat! My mom said she saw a perfect one at Gart, and I am on a mission to retrieve it. I figure that by the time I realize I need a wide hat (Julia and I discussed this) it'll be winter and summer shade hats will be scarce. I can't wait to look like a dork!

David: i was trying to enjoy Deception Point and find out if female protagonist Rachel Sexton could get out of the submarine in time. but these infernal mosquitos...! so i found that i could be reading the book, and then when a mosquito came near my face, i could slam the book shut and squish it. so now the book is filled with dead insects.
David: and everytime i killed an insect in this manner, i would yell:

He also sent me an email, to which I have been replying to rigorously all morning. Here's some snipets of his email that made me happy:
im sorry i havent written to you during this trip. youre always in my thoughts, though. i am in this region called Cappadocia - roughly in the center of Turkey. cappadocia is basically the most magical place in the world. dont believe me? do a google image search for it. anyway, i was exploring valleys and caves and all these bizarre stone hut things, and i really wished that i was there with other people so they could enjoy it, too. Like you. Few people have the exuberance and sense of adventure. and are as completely silly. also, cappadocia looks like star wars meets indiana jones, and you have a much greater appreciation of both movies (skank tank). So in short, i wish you were here with me to explore caves and pretend we are on another planet and run from giant boulders. and eat chocolate with me (ive been eating a lot of chocolate). but alas, we are 9 hours worth of time zones apart. but only for a week. i will see you soon!!!!
