Everyone I know has got a reason, to say, "Put the past away!"

I just did the Slim n' Six pack video with my mom and sister. I didn't get through all 11 minutes of the workout because i had to pause periodically to laugh at my ridiculous family members. But laughing still hurts the abs, so i did get a full workout. What fun. We're gonna do it every day for three weeks so we'll have toned tummies for our 4th of July on the beach with the North Carolina relatives. Yesss. THey didn't have "ridiculous ab video complete with laughter" as an option on the self challange workout log, so i just put general aerobics. whatevs.

Today i had to drive Emily into FRUSTRATING Arvada. There's nothing I hate more than getting lost in a city-driving environment. I had to turn around a lot. ugh. But the way back was easy at least. I hate driving in cities. Get me lost in evergreen, oh well, i'm lost. Lost in Denver? *STRESS.
But anyway I was taking her to the APEX center for her "skate swap" to get an outfit for competition. I know she's not my child, but i still had this strange moment of pride when she came out and showed me her competition outfit and told me about her routine. I should have figure skated as a child - I would have looked damn cute in the little outfits. Plus, i think with practice (and the unnecesary phobia I have of skating due to that concussion that one time...) I could have been pretty good. I'm judging this on the fact that I can rock and roll on rollerblades. Which reminds me of the good ol' days when Jeff Ribordy used to impress the crap out of me and Jamie on his blades.

More evidence to the fact that Emily and I are the same: Her favorite colors are blue and purple (I had/have a blue and purple room and LOVED purple as a girl) and as I child I also had trouble finding stuff that fit because I was too skinny for how tall I was. we had a discussion about how frustrating that is. She is also loving The Golden Compass.

I can't wait for Ashley to get home so the evergreen gals can reconvene for a proper girl's night. I love that i'm not one of those "my life revolves around my drama and the drama of others" kind of people, but gossip is a fun indulgence.

hm, the night is young yet. whatever shall I do? I love that tomorrow, (like today, which rocked) Emily has track from 9-10:30 so i get to come home, go back to sleep for an hour, and then go back to work. It is nice.

DB is finally home! Fuck You United Airlines!
