Okay, so I have never been a shoe person. I've never been a girl who enjoys shoe shopping. This is evidenced by all the senior year pictures I've been putting up on facebook recently in which I'm always wearing my Sauconys. But I've recently learned that if I buy good quality shoes/heels somewhere other than Payless (no disrespect, I <3 Payless) they can actually be very comfortable! Not Sauconys comfortable obviously, but they look a hell of a lot better. And so, when these cute clarks wedges that I'm wearing today went on 60% off sale, I went ahead and bought them to enjoy the summer in. And because they're Clarks, they're made really well and are extremely comfy, so my feet aren't going to hurt or be blistered tomorrow. Huzzah.
I'm having a lot of fun posting the pics from senior year. I'm surprised I hadn't ever put them on facebook before. I've been enduring a strong bout of Cornell nostalgia recently, and this (plus wearing purple) has been a great way to get through it. :-)
Coral Wedges: Indigo by Clarks
Skirt: Old Navy
Shirt: Gap Outlet
Cami: Ann Taylor, gift from Aunt Carol
Coral Necklace: Souvenir from Mexico
Straw Earrings: Gift from Ashley from the Marshall Islands
Now, I have a lot of coral. So there is no lack of things in my closet that these orange/coral shoes could match. But I figured just loading up and wearing all my coral stuff at once simply because it matches would be overkill. So I tied in the shoes with a pop of bright orange with my necklace. I love this thing. I'm so glad I didn't give up on my haggling skills in Mexico and bought it. Now I'd normally not pair this loud big necklace with such big earrings (big for me that is; I tend towards dainty little jewelry) but the tan straw the earrings are made of matched the skirt and the straw on the espadrille wedges so well I had to.
