Morning musings.

Up early, so I'll post a bit.
I'm sore from working out yesterday! But it felt good to get back to the gym. With friends in and then being sick, I've been away too long. But now I'm healthy, and back, and sore! According to the scale and, much more importantly, the mirror, I think operation "Be Hot in my Dress" is going to be a success. Except I won't be tan. I gave up on the Jergens slightly-tan-yourself-daily lotion. But that's okay.

Also at the gym yesterday while running on the track I saw Luke and Phil K. playing squash - I felt like a creeper waving down at them hoping they'd notice me above them, but they did, and all was good. Luke actually invited me over that evening for a grading party. I went, which was nice because I hadn't seen their new married couple place yet. Debbie wasn't feeling well cause of the whole being pregnant thing, but it was still nice to chat with her and Luke. It wasn't very productive - I mean, we did get some things decided about what we're giving half credit for in the IDs and what we were looking for in the exam essays, so that was good, and Luke made up a little chart for what points equal what grade. Sometimes it's good to see that if you found a place to give the student just one more point, you could bump them up a letter grade, because they may deserve it. But most of the evening was spent watching and commenting on the movie Troy, which was infinitely more fun than grading.

Also, Project Runway last night was totally cool. I am so hooked on that show. Casey and I are also quite hooked on Big Love, and the new disc arrived from Netflix today. We were never truly tapping the power of netflix until we started raiding its TV on DVD selection.

Today I'm supposed to hear the report on my progress in the program from my advisor. It's a compilation of what the different professors I've had all think of me and how I'm doing. Scary. Let's hope for good news. Yesterday Dr. Gavitt told me he'd heard great things about my teaching, which made me very happy.

What should I have for breakfast?
