Today has been errands and cleaning, punctuated by watching episodes of Glee every now and then to relax after all the productivity. Casey and I are a bit hooked on the show right now. It's just so cute and funny.
Today we took down the recycling, took out the garbage, scoured the bathroom, returned the three grocery bags of library books, washed the rugs, ran some laundry, returned the blockbuster DVD, grocery shopped, mopped the kitchen floor, unpacked from CO, picked up the bedroom, took a trip to Target, made chili, and took down and carefully packed up all the Christmas decorations. Wooh! *le tired*
I also got myself squared away for school starting tomorrow. I am a little glad in a way that we don't have the Spain seminar on account of Dr. Smith still being in England. It'll be easier to ease into the semester if I only have classes from 12-4pm tomorrow, instead of 12-7pm. Mondays are gonna be rough! I'm just glad I don't have any classes before 12 (except for the Thursday discussion section, which I'm canceling because only 3 students have signed up) because that means I can use the mornings to relax, clean, finish up any homework, and still have lunch with Casey. It also means I can catch a ride to campus and then he can pick me up after work. It's far too cold to ride my bike, and this way I don't have to drive and pay to park. Plus I'll be more productive if I'm stuck on campus in my cubicle a little bit longer than I need to be each day.
Looking forward to a productive semester. I've mostly gotten a lot of this "new year's cleaning" out of the way so I won't be distracted by wanting to clean when homework starts up. Plus I feel more at peace and able to concentrate when the apartment is tidy. I like cleaning. There's a certain sense of satisfaction in seeing how nice I can make my home look.
