fun yesterday

Well, aside from all the reading... though this book, The Contest of Christian and Muslim Spain is far superior to Muslim Spain and Portugal. Though, it still goes on and on about territorial gains and losses and successions of kings all named the same names. I don't care much for political history. I get through it by remembering all the jokes miller made about these leaders: "op! And Sancho FELL off the wall! Ahhh!!"

The best part about yesterday was when Casey came home from Edward III rehearsal in the evening, and at 10:30 we decided to go take a walk to Schnucks and talk and pick up a few groceries. (I must say, ghetto schnucks is much better after 10pm cause there's no one there!) We discovered however, that it was raining! But we walked anyway, with our hoods up, just talking and walking outside at night in the rain. The sound of it splashing everywhere totally drowned out all the normal city noise, which was peaceful. on the way back we go totally soaked but had a wonderful time just talking and walking down the flooded sidewalks together. The rain felt wonderful hitting my hands and face cause it's been so warm out. It reminded me very much of when Heather and I used to go out in the rain for the hell of it at Cornell! The best part was when he kissed me out in the rain in front of our building, because we were soaked and it felt just like a scene from a chick flick, which was both humorous and romantic.

We got inside and into warm pajamas and spent the evening eating grapes and watching BUFFY! We started season three last night, which was awesome, because the production quality of the show just goes WAY up (you can tell they finally got some serious money) and this is when I actually started watching with Jamie, back in the day so it's tinged with good memories of middle school. I remembered watching a bit of repeats of the end of season two with her on my tiny black and white little purple plastic antenna tv in my room on my birthday once! good times.

I love living with Casey. It's a little lonely when he's at work all day and rehearsal all night, but when he's home, we've been having so much fun together. :-)
