I think Godiva chocolate is appropriately named - the gift of God.
You see, Lady Godiva's name is originally spelled in Anglo-Saxon "Godgifu." She was the wife of Mercian earl Leofric under King Canute. It means God-gift. Just like chocolate. Delicious!
Another popular Anglo-Saxon name is Aelfgifu (actually the name of Canute's wife) which means Elf-gift. I like that.
