A few quick reasons today was great:
1) Saw the pretty sunrise over the basilica, the start of a warm sunny day
2) Finished my paper by 9am!
3) Relaxed, got ready for the day, and ANTM was on!
4) Ate fried spaghetti lunch with my boyfriend, who is still employed and loves me very much!!!
5) Got a ride to school on the most beautiful day ever
6) Sat outside reading without a jacket on several different sunny benches on my beautiful, green, sunny, flowery, fountain-covered campus! I was too hot at one point! Oh crazy Missouri weather...
7) There was candy from the secretaries in my campus mailbox!
8) Ran into Stephen, Andrew, and Robert on campus by the fountain! I like seeing faces I know! Chatted with Robert about classes for next semester.
9) Met with the librarian of the VFL! I adore this man! He's your stereotypical sweet academic man with circle tortoiseshell glasses who writes with a fountain pen. Anyway, he showed me where to find excellent excellent manuscript facsimiles in the VFL, and I was very enthused.
10) Interesting class! I loved the book I read - The Book of Memory by Mary Carruthers, and I didn't realize how great it was until Andrew was raving about it. I now realize how really fascinating it was, and how important it is to my understanding of manuscripts! Wooh! Our class discussions of it and other books were really cool. Yay for Theory being cool again.
11) Getting picked up and shopping at Schnucks with Danielle to prepare for...
12) APPLE CRISP! Oh man, Moenning Apple Crisp is DELICIOUS! Hot and appley. Best recipe ever.
13) THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM!!! OMG. What a great great great film. Jackie Chan and Jet Li, SUCH an entertaining and fun and delightful and cool movie!!! Not what I was expecting at all - much much better. Oh I'd watch it again right now, but its 12:30 am now. Everyone, go watch that. Now. Netflix it.
