Headaches

Oct 02, 2008 22:04

So I've been getting a lot of headaches. I think, every day for like the last week and a half at last. I can't read less, so I don't really know what to do about it. I'm trying to spend less time on the computer today after I wrote that paper on Augustine, so I'm blogging quickly.

ST. LOUIS VP DEBATES! Just a stone's throw from our apartment, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin debated tonight! Now, after the Katie Couric DISASTERS Palin had, I wasn't expecting much intelligence out of her. She did fine though, and didn't make herself look too stupid like I had hoped she would. I did want to vomit all over her stupid pandering folksiness and her inability to specifically answer questions. Quit wasting my hour and a half saying stupid little folksy quotes that mean NOTHING politically. Also, please answer the damn question asked, and don't just say meaningless general soundbites that are vaguely related to the issue of the question. While Palin did fine, and did what she set out to do tonight, Biden was a real class act and performed Fantastically. I loved how he demonstrated with his smart answers how complicated these issues really are, and how they cannot be addressed with a general statement like "I wanna ramp up education!" He just looked so intelligent up there and answered so strongly. I mean, do I agree with everything he took a stance on? Not exactly, but no one agrees with anyone on everything, and I appreciated his professionalism in this debate. Go Biden!

Oh. But I will say this. Sarah ->
CURRENT GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT CYCLICAL YOU STUPID IDIOT!!! LOOK AT THE SCIENCE PLEASE BEFORE YOU SAY STUPID WRONG THINGS ON NATIONAL TELEVISION!!!
Her statements on that must make Professor Rhawn Denniston's brain explode.

Bed early tonight. Early to bed, early to rise, again for Friday. I will miss Casey this weekend. He is leaving to head home for his Aunt Pam's funeral. What a sad weekend for the Boland family. I would really like to go with him, but I have class tomorrow. I would like to be there primarily for Casey and also because I did know Pam - she was a wonderful lady who always gave me a Christmas present like all the other kids made me feel so welcome at their family parties. Just a very sad situation. I just hope that one day in the future science will have a solid cure for cancer. I feel like I don't know anyone with a family or friends not touched by cancer today, and that is terrifying.
