"I don't know how I'm going to magically squeeze a part time job's worth of research time into my already homework-packed schedule."

Oh boy...I think I know how that feels. In theory. :)

And I am totally in awe of anyone who knows more than two languages. I can't read any languages apart from English and my native Chinese. I can read hiragana and katakana but that's it.

Well, good luck, anyway. I believe you can work things out.

See though, the languages you know are from TOTALLY different language families. I know Spanish, Latin, (and hence Italian cause it's basically the same as Spanish and Latin) and a tiny bit of French. But they're all so similar. So really, you being fluent in English is Much more impressive to me, because my language skills need serious exercising.

I'm dreading learning German...

I took a German class once, ages ago. Now all I remember is "Danke" and "Sie sprechen Deutsch?" :D

But...still, you know three languages! I only know two! :D And I'm not fluent in Chinese either. And the reason I'm so good at English is I've 1) been here for years and years and 2) I read a lot. Or I used to anyway.
