MY ARCHIVED EMAILS ARE ALL STILL ON MY OLD A-MOENNING ADDRESS!!!!
OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will be missing maybe the few that I decided to archive after I switched to cornell's google apps, but other than that, it's all here!
I'm just so happy, especially to have these freshman year emails, because I didn't keep an lj then, and I didn't write in my journal hardly ever, and when I did it was mostly about my new relationship with Casey, so it's so cool to have like, the email I wrote to Bryan after we did Yancey together about how much fun I had being in that one-act with him. (oh that sticky sticky stage...) and Paul Eley telling me I had written a good article, and Erika asking me to do Gumbo project with her, and Julia's hilarious account of her trip of doom... All good memories, that I may record in LJ (in a cut, fear not) just to make sure they're like, preserved somewhere. But first, downloading them all to my computer.

PS - Mike Ceverny of Cornell's IT sent me the nicest, most concerned, most helpful email about at IT they've been trying to figure out what went wrong with my account, why archived emails weren't sent, and said that he'd be happy to help me get the email from my old a-moenning account, which Cornell still has. I was so happily surprised that Cornell, so far, has been as warm and helpful to me as an alumna as they were when I was a student. It made me feel like I am still a part of the Cornell community, and that fixing my email issues, even now that I don't attend Cornell anymore, is just as important a task as ensuring that a new freshman can get on resnet, or hook up to the pooled printers.
PS - I wish SLU had free printing/copying like Cornell did. BOO 9 cents a copy!
Edit: Apparently, as I learned from an email I once wrote Sammi Kreider freshmen year, before I met Casey, I had crushes on Daniel Pedersen, Daniel Harcey, Bryan, his roommate Eric, and Tim. Man, I must have thought Cornell was crawling with men as a freshman! I will have to tell Daniel I apparently used to have a crush on him, cause I forgot all about that! Hilarity.
