WASHINGTON -- Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has chosen Delaware Senator Joseph Biden, 65, to be his vice presidential running mate, the candidate announced early Saturday.
YAY CAUSE I LOVED JOE BIDEN! When the race for the Democratic candidate was going on, Casey and I really liked Joe Biden, a lot. I liked a lot of the things he said boldly during the debates. Choosing him, a politician skilled in foreign policy, as a running mate just makes SENSE. I was not really excited to vote for Barack yet, (though I wouldn't vote for McCain) so I was THRILLED when he picked Biden because I AM excited to vote him into office. Woohoo!
I also like that he's Roman Catholic, and would be the first Catholic VP. I would love to see a liberal Catholic in the public's eye, so they don't all continue to think Catholics are condemnatory, judgmental, and closed-minded about social issues.
Maybe he'll talk Barack out of what my dad so dislikes about his economic strategy.
