So Danielle had a nice date this afternoon with a girl that LINDY HOPS! AHH I'm so excited that she knows where other young people (aka, the opposite of the South Side Imperial Dance club) swing dance in this area! She recommended a bar, The Atomic Cowboy that has Thursday swing nights and I SO hope Casey comes home early enough from rehearsal tomorrow night so that we can check it out!!!!
... and also, ZOO! Today Casey took me to the ZOO in Forest Park! I am going to fall in love with this park I think, especially after Danielle and I hit up the art museum before it closes for renovations. Anyway, we parked for free, went into the free zoo and wandered around for like 2 hours. It was amazing how close you could get to the animals at this zoo; I liked that. Though their habitats are quite large, so I think I was just lucky and a lot of them were just near the people. I also liked that it's set up like a forest with lots of little paths through it, rather than a big wide open theme part of animals. Nice Zoo. My favorite part was the baby elephant swimming and playing with the big elephants, of which I took many photos, and Casey liked the little monkey with the yellow eyes best - also photographed. We didn't do the WHOLE zoo, just some of it, leaving more for next time we go - which will probably be soon considering we live RIGHT next to the park and the zoo is free every day. I want to go back and see a sea lion show! We missed the last one today by half an hour. I consoled myself with a huge delicious "Super" pop.
