*chill*

Other-Amy and I have agreed that when it comes to Latin, since neither of us are getting a grade, we've totally checked out. I didn't do any homework last night but it was so easy to BS it in class that I was okay with that. I was not ok with how much I didn't know on the quiz when it came to the vocab, but I knew the grammar and verb conjugations so that's all that really matters. Vocab is just rote memorization; grammar and verb conjugations you have to understand and I know I rocked that section so I'll feel smart no matter what. Class got out early which was nice.

I also got to internship a little later than usual cause I had to drop my mom off at the Mills first. I also got out early! Leigh was going to take off at 4 so she told me to just do so as well. It was great. But work at the historical society was really cool today. Leigh is having me help her find documents for the 150th anniversary of Denver exhibit that'll be going up soon. So I was looking for cool stuff in the Denver Rio Grande railway documents, and also through the personal documents of this Denver artist. That was all quite enjoyable, and I think it's neat I get to help pick out what's going in the exhibit.

Now I'm home and it feels wonderful to relax. Jack is on the other computer. We're chatting and he's playing Backyard Baseball and I imagine we'll all do something together once the rest of the fam gets home.

Looks like I'm not going to dance lessons tonight. I'd have to leave soon-ish, and I'm tired and it's rainy. I know I said in my like "Vote for Amy for Swing Club VP" platform that I'd be taking lessons at the Merc, but I just don't have time for it right now. I'd miss next week anyway and then Casey's in. If I had run against someone I'd feel like I was making false campaign promises or something, but my only competition for the position was Beowulf, a write-in. So, I'll see what I can do in August, and that's the best I've got to give.

I'm enlisted to babysit tomorrow morning and Friday night. While I'm not really looking forward to it and would rather sleep in instead of getting up at 7 again on my day off, my wallet could use some 20s. Spent my last one today getting me and Casey tickets to see Back to the Future at Red Rocks - that is going to be one amazing night!

I can't believe he's going to be here so soon. I haven't made a whole list of stuff for us to do and charted it out on a calendar like last summer, but I figure the happiest days when he was here last year were camping and lounging around at home with the day unplanned. I'm gonna stick with that, and maybe just have a few ideas of vacationey stuff to do stored up in my brain. I'd love to take him to Santa Fe for like two days actually; that'd be sweet! I'll have to think about that. I know we're going to red rocks, and going dancing, and seeing a play in Boulder, and going out to sushi with my parents, but that's all I've got for 2 weeks! Can't wait to see his play on Sunday; I'm sure I'm going to crack up. I am highly amused by Shakespeare's comedies. And Casey. So when you combine the two, instant laughter. Wish I could see the Green Show though, major bummer about missing that.

By the way the new King Soopers is so weird. But the new Wal-Mart is even weirder! Saw Emily and Mary Baker there the other day and that was really nice. I actually really miss that girl now that I'm not babysitting her anymore! I told her that she and I should go scrapbooking together like last summer and catch up, and mentioned to her Mom that while I couldn't nanny for her this summer I'm still free to babysit on occasion. I can't believe she's almost a middle-schooler! I'm happy she's going to go to EMS - private schooled middle school is weird. That girl needs a real class (of more than the same 20ish kids), and a good dose of normalcy.

Off to clean, update my resume, and then do whatever I please for the rest of the night!
