I had an amazingly peaceful moment today laying on the hot wooden deck warmed by the sun, hearing the cool spring breeze rush through the pines. It reminds me of the sound of the ocean, only softer and less rhythmic. It was wonderful resting in the sun next to Squeaks. I could hear the hummingbirds flying nearby and Joey's collar clinking as he ran around the yard. Everything smelled like pine. Everything really is so beautiful in Colorado. I hope I get the chance to live here again some day.
