Last new years, Andrew was DJing a small house party with a friend. It had been a long night, so I was happily lying on a chair, starting to pass out. This guy, who I had a bad feeling about to begin with, comes over and grabs my ass, then quickly walks away before I can say or do anything.
Obviously, this made me uncomfortable. I went over to Andrew and friends to explain the situation. Andrew was absolutely livid. He called the guy out when we were able to identify him. The guy insisted, "I was just trying to wake the bitch up!"... at which point we're all like WTF why would you even use the word bitch??
I could tell Andrew wanted nothing more than to beat the shit out of him. Instead, he announced that we were leaving. He packed up all his DJ shit and got out of there.
As amusing/satisfying as it would be to see him attack the jerk, I was really impressed by his reaction.
So, I just wanted to add that I also think you handled it well. It's understandable that these type of situations can arouse anger and violent impulses; it's biologically wired into your brain. I think it's awesome that you were looking out for your love but also trying to be mature about the situation. Good for you, dude.
