“Oh Octavian! You know I love these!” Julius held up a handful of bananas. “They go so well with everything!”
“I know, that is why I got them. I know you like them,” replied Octavian.
“I’ve been craving these something awful.” He opened a banana and bit into it. “By the gods this is good.”
Octavian smiled and motioned a servant to take some bananas to the kitchen. He watched Julius eat a few more and then he asked, “Are you ready Julius?”
“Ready for what?”
“Julius!”
The young man laughed. “I know what you’re talking about. I was just teasing. It seems a little late to get married now.”
“The Priestess said this would be the best time.”
“Humph. What does she know?”
“You are just cranky because she made a comment about your weight. Which is perfectly healthy.”
“I know that! But she didn’t have to be rude about it.”
Octavian snorted. “Come a long. We have to get ready.” He helped Julius up and hugged him. “It will be fine.”
Julius nodded and let Octavian led him away.
