Julius, Octavian, Caesar, and Brutus were at the dining table waiting for the last course to be served.
“Diana said she found a new recipe from somewhere,” Julius bounced in his seat. “She let Brutus and I sample it. It’s delicious.”
Octavian smiled at him. “I am sure it is.”
Brutus was whispering into Caesar’s ear. Caesar laughed.
“Hey!” cried Julius. “No secrets!”
Caesar smiled at the young boy. “Quite right young Julius. Brutus was just telling me that this…dessert had many flavors. He thought I might like the strawberry one.”
Julius beamed. “I came up with that one.”
Octavian cocked his head. “Which one do you think I would like?”
Julius thought about it for a moment before answering, “Chocolate.”
Octavian raised his eyebrow. “Hmm.”
Diana brought out the dessert. “Now, it’s very cold, so do not shove it in your mouth.” She looked at Julius.
“Oh, but Diana, that’s the best way to eat it.” He turned to the others. “It hurts at first, but it’s just so good.” He took a spoon and starting eating.
