Ascending the stairs, having come home from work, Jenni called out, "So have you gone out this week for anything other than food?" My response, grumpy and defensive: "NO."
Here, have a bit of meme: (

As for Brunhilda: ack. I have to confess, I've barely drawn anything in months - in fact, I inked a random piece the day before yesterday and it's the first piece I've completed since, ohhh, March? I got so stuck trying to find an appropriate style for Brunhilda I ended up scaring myself off it, and now I'm in the last quarter of Honours and everything's due at once.
I'll be free at last in November, but I'm horribly aware that I've been flaking out on you about this for a year now. I'm sorry.

Don't worry - I know you're finishing uni and it's all scary monster biscuits. Take your time. I LOVE your new piece, it's beautiful. I'll send you Brunhilda again if you have mislaid the old copy, and in the meantime I'll send you a new story, just to get your opinion on it. I'm thinking of maybe making a series, if you'd be interested in taking an extended illustration gig? We'll have to see if it's any good though.
I'm a bit dubious about you moving to Auckland because I'm worried about you getting stuck and suffering from inertia and being driven mad and losing lovely Wellington into the bargain. But you seem to have a good plan and so long as you're focussed I have faith that you'll end up where you want to be.
All will be well lovely. xx

The move to Auckland will probably only be until Christmas, or whenever I can get a job in Napier. It's basically so the parents don't have to fork out for me while I try to find a job. Plus, it means I will be able to help them decorate, and even use my easel for the first time in years. Damn, I miss that thing.
