Fleas in yarn

This is a bit of an odd question. My roommate's dog brought home some fleas and we're having the house fumigated tomorrow (because tey aren't roaches they aren't covered by the lease either). I haven't seen any fleas in my yarn, but I know that doesn't mean they aren't there.

Just wondering if anyone had tips for getting fleas out of wool, it's not like I can wash that in hot water and get rid of them. I heard that dawn dish washing detergent mixed in water helps and I've also heard that tea tree oil in water helps.

Any ideas? The yarn is in a tote, but it's still possible they got in there.
