Knitting diseases?

Jan 15, 2008 11:38

So i was reading the comments for a previous post and i saw the term "early-onset intarsia" (which i took to mean the disease of attempting intarsia long before any sane person should).
and i got to thinking....what other knitting diseases are there?
I know of "startitis" - the contagious infections of starting many many projects in a short amount of time
i know of "SEX addiction" also called "Stash addiction" - addicted to buying too much yarn/or fiber.
"needlerot" - when your WIPs are on the needles so long they start to decompose
"UFO syndrome" - where the UFO pile keeps building up, and up and up.....sometimes occurs in conjunction with startitis.
"frog attack" - where the frog gets you. enough said ;)
"finishitis" - opposite to startitis...very useful
"second sock syndrome" - the inability to knit the second sock in a pair resulting in numerous single socks lying around.
"SABLE" - stash accumulation beyond life expectancy - an unfortunate condition where one own more stash than could be knitted in the amount of time one expects to live.

Ok so i am sure that it only the start of the knitting disease list. What all am i missing?

We knitters are a sick bunch ;)
