On Monday I was asked to sit in on a session of my
roleplaying system that was being run by a friend of mine. What was special about this is it was the second game he was running without my involvement and where I didn't know any of the players.
I was greeted enthusiastically by everyone and I felt a little bit like a rock star coming down do briefly visit a select few of his fans. (It may have gone slightly my head).
Though I swaggered around and acted a bit like an arrogant jerk they all waved me an enthusiastic goodbye when I had to run off to bed (PhDs and their 9 am starts and lack of reading week holidays).
They pointed out a couple of flaws in the system (like some characters can never burn to death) and generally gave me a massive enthusiasm to go over the system and give it lots of tweaks and improvements. I have been massively productive over the last 3 days.
It just goes to show what you can achieve when you're feeling motivated.
